Healing from Grief: Am I Doing it Right?
Time & Location
About The Event
Grief is both a deep sorrow and a normal, healthy response to the stress of loss. Throughout our life, we experience grief in many ways in different situations. It’s uncomfortable, and many times, something we try to resist.
Grief caused by the death of a loved one can trigger many unfamiliar, uncomfortable and even frightening feelings, thoughts and physical sensations, sometimes leading us to wonder “grief - am I doing it right?” The focus of this workshop will be to create understanding regarding the individualized nature of grief and grieving. Thoughts, emotions and sensations that often accompany the loss of a loved one, grieving styles, how to cultivate grief resilience, what healing means in the context of great loss, and more, will be explored.
