The Gospel of Thomas
Time & Location
About The Event
The Gospel of Thomas was discovered in 1945 as part of what is now known as the Nag Hammadi Library. The Gospel, written in Coptic and Greek, is 144 saying of Jesus as recorded speech, not stories like one finds in the Gospels. The collection consists of Beatitudes and mini parables, each with an outer shape and an inner hidden meaning. No explanations of these inner meanings are given because they were meant for us to discover that Jesus' method or technique of passing on his spiritual awareness was to prompt us to discover these inner meanings for ourselves.
You will need to purchase Gospel of Thomas by Hugh McGregor Ross, available on Amazon, for this class.
