About The Event
Prayer of the Heart, sometimes also called the Jesus Prayer, can be traced back over 2000 years. In Thessalonians’ 5:16-18, there is a passage in St. Paul’s letter that says to “Pray without ceasing.” In the Aramaic version it reads “Give thanks in everything, for this is the will of God in Yeshua the Messiah among you.” The Prayer of the Heart also appears in other spiritual traditions of the world as well. In all traditions, Christian, Sufi and others the heart is the starting point of prayer.
