Creativity for Those Who Were Told, and Believe, They are Not Creative

“I am not creative”.  Most of us say this because someone told us we were not creative: we can’t sing (means we can’t sing like an opera singer); we can’t paint (means we can’t paint like Rembrandt); we can’t write (means we can’t write like Shakespeare); I am not musical (because I can’t play like a rock star or in a symphony). What these people were doing was defining creativity as producing something tangible, having a product, with the emphasis on something perfect. In actual fact, their definition of creativity is wrong!!! Creativity is really the way we express, feed, and grow our soul; it is what helps us maintain our identity as human beings. It is a state of Being AND our relationship to the process of Beingness. It is the way we meet challenges, the way we bring a project to completion, the attitude and presence we bring to anything we are involved in. Creativity is the stimulus and energy behind who we are, it is the way we can transform even the most ordinary routine daily task into a creative expression. Most of all it is the process that stimulates our thinking and our being. Come and learn how creative you truly are!!!!!
