Finding Jesus

In the Gospel of John 1:39 we read “He said to them ‘Come and see.’ They came and saw where he was staying, and they remained with him that day.” Today you are invited to come and see him,  by going to his home, into his culture, his time, to listen to his words from the Aramaic language he spoke so that we can find him in the home of our hearts, in others, and the world. In that passage, we too are invited to come and see, enabling us to be more intimately acquainted with his personal traits of goodness, compassion, courage and authenticity. We will come and see Jesus as he was raised and lived in his Near East context, culture and time, when and where he lived in the world.
