Sound Healing Bath with Optional Cacao Ceremony

Please bring a blanket, mat, and anything else for your comfort when lying on the ground.  There will also be chairs available for those who prefer to sit.

A little about cacao: 

Raw cacao has been used for hundreds of years by indigenous people, mainly in Mesoamerica, in ceremony and for healing purposes. Cacao is the original form of chocolate, before it undergoes the intense chemical processing that most chocolate companies push it through, which removes most of the nutritional benefits of this incredible super food.

Cacao in its purest form contains a high level of antioxidants and many minerals. It features a natural chemical called Theobromine, which creates a mildly stimulating affect that is similar to caffeine, without the jitters and the dramatic highs and lows. It also contains an endocannabinoid compound called Anandamide, the “bliss molecule” and releases neurotransmitters such as serotonin, tryptophan, tyrosine and phenylethylamine, creating cozy feelings of wellbeing and happiness, possibly even alleviating depression and anxiety. Above all else, cacao works with the heart, assisting in healing and opening this center as a true heart medicine.

Cacao does contain caffeine; however, theobromine is the main activator, which is not as shocking to the system as caffeine alone is.

PLEASE NOTE: Ceremonial grade cacao is prepared in such a way that stimulates the cardiovascular system. This experience can greatly expand the energy of the heart, mind and soul for deeper awareness, healing, joy and creativity. If you have severe high blood pressure or anxiety, serious heart issues, chocolate allergies, are pregnant or are taking MAOI's, we ask that you do not consume the full amount of cacao offered. We require that you let us know of any related issues before the event. By attending the event and accepting the cacao drink, you agree to the above and assume any risk as your own. Consuming cacao is not required and you can still participate in the sound bath experience.
