Spring Cleaning Meditation

Nature will eventually move from winter to spring. Hours of daylight slowly increase, we see the greening of the earth, the return of migratory birds and will smell the moist earth again. Nature, in effect is resurrecting herself. The custom of spring cleaning can be traced back throughout human history and found in many different cultures. Not only do our homes need spring cleaning so do our souls. Our soul needs nourishment just as our bodies do. Our mind need stimulation and our emotions need a bit of weeding.  Our souls can get dusty at best, lost at the worst. What if we look the words associated with Easter as verbs instead of nouns?  What if, as a verb, the word resurrection becomes a spiritual practice in daily life? This meditation will help with spring cleaning our inner lives by asking you what in your life needs resurrection? What in your life has been entombed by demands of life that have gotten out of control? What do you need to do to ‘roll away the stone’ and shed light on your spirit?
